Every couple has a story worth celebrating ♡

Your Love Story, Told Your Way

The most memorable moments aren't necessarily the grandest. They're the ones that make you laugh, bring a tear to your eye or remind you exactly why you chose each other.

I'll take time to discover what makes your relationship special, from the everyday moments to the adventures that brought you together.

Your day could include:

  • Personal vows and promises that sound like you.
  • Handfasting or another meaningful symbolic ritual.
  • Favourite readings, music or family traditions.
  • Contributions from children, friends or loved ones.
  • Gentle humour, heartfelt memories and those wonderfully unexpected details.

Nothing needs to feel overly formal or unfamiliar. The aim is simple: a moment that feels yours unmistakably.

From our first hello to your big day ♡

How We'll Create Your Perfect Day Together

There's plenty to organise when you're getting married. My role is to make this part feel enjoyable, personal and straightforward.

Step 1: Let's Get Acquainted

We'll discuss your plans, preferred date, venue and the atmosphere you'd love to create. It's also your opportunity to ask questions and see whether we're a good fit.

Step 2: Let's Tell Your Story

I'll get to know you both, explore your ideas and develop a bespoke script that captures your relationship. We'll discuss vows, readings and any symbolic elements you'd like included.

Step 3: Let's Make It Memorable

On the day, I'll guide the proceedings, deliver your story and help create an atmosphere where you can relax, be present and enjoy every moment.

Traditional, Alternative or Somewhere in Between?

You don’t have to follow somebody else’s idea of what getting married should look like.

Perhaps you’re planning an intimate gathering, a relaxed outdoor occasion, a larger family event or a union that blends different traditions.

I can help you create something romantic without being overly sentimental, spiritual without being religious, or joyful without becoming a comedy performance.

You can also explore my other personalised services and pricing if you’re considering a vow renewal or another meaningful milestone.

Your ceremony, your choices ♡

What's the Difference Between a Wedding Celebrant and a Registrar?

The biggest difference is freedom and personalisation. In England, a registrar is a local-authority employee who conducts the legal part of a marriage and files it, while a celebrant creates a bespoke experience centred on your relationship, personalities and the story you want to share.

With me, you're not limited to a standard script. We can include personal vows, meaningful readings, handfasting, music and those little stories that make everyone smile.

A registrar-led marriage follows legal requirements around wording, location and proceedings. A celebrant-led occasion offers greater creative flexibility, but in England (if you want to be legally married) you'll still need to complete the legal marriage formalities separately.

I am also authorised to solemnise marriages in Scotland through Sacred Heart Sanctuary, where the relevant legal requirements are met.

Somewhere special, just for you ♡

Where Can You Have a Celebrant-Led Wedding?

One of the lovely things about choosing a celebrant is having more freedom over where you exchange your vows.

Whether you're dreaming of a relaxed outdoor gathering or something intimate and meaningful, we can explore a setting that feels right for you.

Popular possibilities include:

  • Gardens and private properties: Ideal for relaxed, personal gatherings with family and friends.
  • Woodlands and outdoor spaces: A beautiful backdrop for nature-inspired vows and handfasting.
  • Hotels and country houses: Combine a traditional venue with a more personal experience.
  • Barns and rustic venues: Perfect for couples wanting something informal and full of character.
  • Meaningful personal locations: Somewhere connected to your relationship or shared memories.

Your chosen setting will need the appropriate permissions and practical arrangements, particularly for outdoor gatherings. We'll discuss what's possible as part of planning your day.

More than just a ceremony ♡

What's Included in My Wedding Celebrant Fee?

When you choose me, you're not simply booking someone to stand at the front and read a few words. You're investing in a personal, thoughtfully created experience that reflects the two of you. Your ceremony is one of the most memorable parts of your celebrations, so I believe it’s important that it mirrors who you both are.

My approach is collaborative, organised and centred on making your day feel genuinely yours.

The planning and personalisation we discuss can include:

Getting to Know You

Conversations about your relationship, personalities and what matters most.

Bespoke Scriptwriting

Creating an original, story-led script rather than using a standard template.

Personal Vows and Readings

Helping you explore words, promises and contributions that feel authentic.

Symbolic Rituals

Discussing options such as handfasting and meaningful traditions.

Planning and Preparation

Agreeing the structure, tone and practical details before the day.

Leading Your Special Moment

Bringing everything together with warmth, confidence and a little well-placed humour.

Understanding the Legal Side of Getting Married

In England, a celebrant-led service is not itself a legally binding marriage. You’ll need to complete the legal formalities separately through an authorised registrar or another legally recognised route.

This gives you freedom to personalise the occasion without being restricted to the wording of a civil marriage service.

I am also authorised to solemnise marriages in Scotland through Sacred Heart Sanctuary, subject to the applicable legal requirements and arrangements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can We Write Our Own Vows?

Absolutely. Your promises should sound like you, whether they’re romantic, funny, simple or deeply personal. I can help you find the right words and work them naturally into the proceedings.

The cost depends on your date, location, requirements and the type of service you’re planning. You can view my published service prices and contact me to discuss what you’re looking for.

It’s worth getting in touch once you have a preferred date and venue. Popular dates can require more planning, but you’re welcome to enquire whenever your plans begin taking shape. I’ll confirm availability before we discuss the next steps.

Yes. We can incorporate readings, traditions or symbolic elements that reflect your beliefs and values. Equally, your service can be entirely non-religious. What matters is creating something comfortable and meaningful for you both.

Of course. Family members can contribute readings, share promises or participate in symbolic rituals. We’ll discuss what feels appropriate for everyone involved, particularly younger children, so their participation is natural and enjoyable.

Let's Make Your Special Day Unmistakably Yours

You’ve found your person. Now let’s create a moment that tells your story beautifully.

I’d love to hear how you met, what makes you laugh and what you’re imagining for the day itself. Whether your plans are taking shape or you’re still exploring possibilities, we can start with a friendly conversation, without pressure or expectations.
