I am passionate about helping women reclaim body and style confidence after cancer or any other major life-changing events.

Why is this my passion?

Well, how we present ourselves to the world is an expression of who we are, it can be creative and fun.  When this comes from a confident, self-loving place, people shine and give off an amazing blissful energy.  I want everyone to be able to be in that place, including myself.   I’ve been through a few pretty significant life changing events and have leaned on my skills as a coach and stylist to get me through.

But, it’s not easy, as I know.  I’ve been called fat more times than I’d care to count, I’ve felt inferior in the looks stakes because I didn’t conform to ‘magazine / insta beauty’.   I have made significant career changes – left financial services to open a boutique and start my styling business, so I’ve been a body and style consultant since 2014.  I also got divorced in 2021 after a 15 year marriage and have been navigating dating in the modern world.  I went through treatment for breast cancer in 2019 (operations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, oophorectomy and now hormone therapy), which had major impacts on my physical appearance and mental wellbeing and it still does.  I am now post-menopausal.  All of these things have had an impact on my own body confidence and sense of style.

I use the practical tools I learned from my personal styling training and on-going personal development, spiritual curiosity, and life coaching qualification every single day to help me express who I am to the world and love myself.

Celebrating

I’ve recently completed training to become a celebrant to officiate weddings (including legally marry a couple in Scotland), funerals, living wakes, divorce ceremonies, love declarations, end of treatment celebrations or whatever you want to make magical.

I am a big believer in using rituals or ceremonies to mark occasions (big and small) in our lives.  I personally believe that individual and unique ceremonies fill the soul.  It’s a priviledge and honour to be able to officiate a ceremony for someone or create a memorable eulogy.

Connection

To some people it may seem odd having these different strands to my business but to me they are linked – I am supporting people through change and creating a space where they are seen and heard, they are experiencing connection.  And, I use ceremony and rituals working with my Body Bliss clients to help them love and accept themselves as well as to celebrate what they have achieved.

Let’s connect and let me help you whether that’s to build your body and style confidence or the ceremony of your dreams.   I have no doubt there will be tears and laughter along the way, but I’ve got you.

Much love, Gail x
